Or, if you like, you can walk or ride a bike along the beachside path and creekside boardwalk, that has been purpose built. In fact there a total of 23 km of bike tracks in the immediate area.
Salt beach is patrolled 365 days a year but also has a large “lead free” area for those who have dogs. This is located a few hundred metres either side of the flagged area. Kingscliff beach is protected from southerly winds by its headland and as such is an ideal location for those looking for gentler, protected surf conditions.
Behind Salt Village and Kingscliff is Cudgen Creek. Its crystal clear waters on the high tide see it as a very popular swimming and snorkelling location, where tropical fish species can be found. Parks adjoin either side of Cudgen Creek, which makes it an ideal area for a picnic or BBQ.
